We are both educators who have worked in the primary years and are passionate about education and mitigating human induced climate change. We have written a book called Teaching the language of climate change science to help teachers with the work of teaching about climate change through science in a systematic way. Our book is sequenced through the primary year levels from Foundation to Year 8, providing language for talking about climate change, and science inquiry topics related to climate change at age-appropriate level. The final chapter helps teachers to help students be agentive and active in increasingly wider spheres of influence, using powerful language and age appropriate actions to influence friends, school and family, moving outwards to local and state governments.
